Candidate First is looking for an Intermodal Sales Manager F/M for a major actor in rental, trading and consulting for the intermodal transport, modal shift & mobile storage. The position will be based in Germany.
Reporting to the Sales Director, the Intermodal Sales Manager is responsible for maintaining and developing a sales portfolio in France and abroad. He/she proposes all the financial and operational solutions offered by the company in the field of Multimodal Transport. He/she also assists customers and the company departments in launching projects.

Key activities:
  • Promote the Company's solutions,
  • Maintain and develop sales in line with budget policy,
  • Prospect and follow up customers,
  • Draw up visit and activity reports,
  • Carry out pricing and technical studies,
  • Represent the company at trade shows and other commercial events,
  • Participate in responding to calls for tender,
  • Participate actively in sales meetings,
  • Achieve the objectives set in terms of acquisition, development, number of visits, sales while respecting the margin level to be reached,
  • Work in collaboration with operations and maintenance teams to propose the best solutions.
  • Participate in the construction of tools to automate quotations for customers, in conjunction with other Company departments,
  • Play an active role in the launch of projects with customers, to ensure that specifications are properly applied,
  • Keep abreast of developments in port solutions in France and Europe,
  • Maintain an operational and commercial network with other transport players.

With a higher education background such as a Business or Engineering School (with a transport specialization), you have you have at least 5 years' experience in sales of international transport and logistics solutions.
Coming from a forwarding agent, freight forwarder, logistics provider or modal transport specialist, you are fluent in English, German and ideally French.
Experience in one of the one of the Benelux countries is a plus for business development.
Rigorous, pragmatic and versatile, you have proven expertise in business development and project launch.
With good communication skills, you are to adapt your speech to a variety of interlocutors, both in terms of their professions and their hierarchical positions.
you have a "hunter" profile and excel at prospecting.
The position will involve remote working.
